Jaguar DPF Cleaning

A DPF (diesel particulate filter) is designed to remove soot particles from exhaust fumes, and in an ideal world, when the engine reaches the optimum temperature, the particles are burnt off. However, with so much of our driving being short, urban journeys your diesel engine doesn’t get the chance to reach the required temperatures and the soot ends up sticking to the DPF. If the soot particles can’t burn off, eventually the filter may become clogged and that’s when problems start.
